Randy Yaw, a 10-year display veteran with Saks Fifth Avenue (New York), has joined Hugo Boss USA, the New York office of the Metzingen, Germany-based designer. Yaw will oversee visual for a four-floor, 23,000-square-foot Manhattan flagship to open in April on Fifth Avenue.
The store will carry all lines Boss, including “Hugo” (a younger, fashion-forward collection for men and women) and “Orange Label” (which Yaw describes as tech-inspired, experimental fashions).
As visual merchandising manager for the flagship, Yaw will be in charge of 10 windows and a three-level-high atrium, to be used for events and “display extravaganzas,” he promises.
“While I've loved my time at Saks,” Yaw says, “I was really drawn to Hugo Boss'progressive mentality. They're very interested in the cutting edge.”
Tim Wisgerhof, a production manager for the New York department store, replaces Yaw as window director at Saks.
