SEED Brklyn, a multi-retail concept with a speakeasy cafe and an experiential art space, will debut Oct. 21.
Located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, SEED Brklyn is the brainchild of locally based artist Christophe Roberts who, over the last five years, has developed the space to nurture some of Brooklyn’s brightest and emerging creatives, while also honoring the borough’s history of cultural architects who have impacted the world.
“Brooklyn has been home to some of the most influential artists in the world and throughout significant moments in history across pop culture, fashion, sports and more,” says Roberts, Founder and Partner of SEED Brklyn. “SEED is paying homage to the borough by not only honoring those very same artists and their legacies, but also embracing and highlighting many of the emerging creative talent coming out of Brooklyn and across the city.”
Notable features of the concept include:
The Garden: A retail space on the first floor and mezzanine featuring burgeoning brands such as Martine Rose, Rains, Maharishi, Undercover, Against Medical Advice, 100 Wolves, 424, PRMVTO, Socialite Archive and Jason Markk. Also on the first floor is a Japanese-inspired sneaker laundry.
The Oasis: An experiential art space and NFT gallery dedicated to immersive events featuring state-of-the-art technology.
Greenhouse Cafe: Patrons can enjoy a hot cup of La Colombe coffee inside a plant-enshrined café. Also available for purchase are plants; vinyl collectibles from Funko and Super 7; books from Taschen and Rizzoli; and other lifestyle products.
