The Institute of Store Planners (ISP) has sent out a call for nominations for several of its prestigious annual awards, including 2003 Legion of Honor candidates.
ISP members have been asked to present a nominee for what ISP regards as its industry Hall of Fame. “The Retail Design Legion of Honor is designed to recognize those giants of the industry whose lifetime contribution of professional design achievement has influenced and shaped retailing, store design and the design culture in general,” says the organization's call to action.
Honorees will be presented at the third annual banquet in New York in January 2004, which is co-hosted by VM+SD and also presents winners in the annual ISP/VM+SD Retail Design Competition.
ISP members receiving nomination forms have been asked by national president Russell Sway and executive director Richard Byrne to complete and mail the forms to ISP International Office, 25 N. Broadway, Tarrytown, N.Y. 10591, no later than July 28, 2003.
The packet of forms also includes nomination ballots for 2003 ISP Member of the Year (“an ISP member of any classification who has contributed most significantly to the Institute during the past year”); ISP's honorary membership (“to any individual who is not a member of the Institute and who has made a significant contribution to the profession of store planning”); and fellowship status.
For further information, the ISP can be reached at the previously mentioned address; by phone at 914-332-1806; by fax at 914-332-1542; or over the Internet at www.iso.org.
