J.Crew Hires New President

J.Crew Group Inc. (New York) has named Michael J. Nicholson as the company’s new president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer, effective Jan. 11, 2016.

Nicholson was most recently executive vp, chief financial officer and treasurer for Ann Inc. (New York). He also previously worked for Limited Brands Inc. (Columbus, Ohio), where he was also executive vp, chief operating officer and cfo.

In his new role, he will oversee the company’s finances, global supply chain, sourcing, IT, real estate, asset management and investment management departments, and functions. According to a press release, he will report to CEO and Chairman Millard Drexler. 

Nicholson will replace Joan Durkin who was serving as cfo on an interim basis, which will allow her to return to her post as the company’s chief accounting officer, reports The Wall Street Journal.
