JCPenney Launches Image Search on iPhone App

JCPenney Co. Inc. (Plano, Texas) has introduced an image search feature on the company’s iPhone app. The feature allows users to take photos of any item, barcode or QR code for products, and the app locates a similar item on jcpenney.com.

Forbes reports the feature is part of the company’s effort to help consumers simplify shopping and find bargains with easy-to-use omnichannel tools.

The Android version of the app will launch in August.
