Jen Rubio Returns as Away CEO

Travel lifestyle brand Away (New York) has appointed Jen Rubio, co-founder of the brand in 2015, as CEO, according to a press release. Rubio has been serving as interim CEO since February following the departure of Stuart Haselden.

“The past year has been a difficult one for nearly every industry, but especially so for retail and travel businesses. The Away team has demonstrated an acute ability to remain resonant among our consumers while delivering resilient financial performance,” said Rubio.

Rubio has expanded the executive team with the hiring of Laura Willensky as the company’s first Chief Commercial Officer. Willensky will lead the brand’s e-commerce, merchandising, retail, customer experience and international teams.
