Jesco Lighting Group To Double Plant And Office Size, Move To New Building In Nearby Port Washington, Long Island, NY Before Year’s End

Glendale, Queens, NY, March, 2013 — JESCO Lighting Group, a 15-year multinational manufacturer and marketer of contemporary-design exclusively energy-saving lighting fixtures for commercial, institutional and upscale residential interior and outdoor applications, and a pioneer in popularizing uses of LED light sources, has announced a major impending expansion of the company before the end of 2013.  Announcement was made by Richard Kurtz, president, CEO and a principal of JESCO Lighting Group.

The new building, which JESCO Lighting Group has purchased, is 3.5-miles off of the Long Island Expressway, Route 495, northeast from the company’s present location in Glendale, Queens, near the L.I.E.  JESCO will move from a two-story brick structure it had substantially renovated at least twice as additional product lines, people, services and equipment have frequently been added.

JESCO Lighting Group’s new building is a significantly larger 70,000-sq.-ft. modern steel-frame, brick and glass two-story air-conditioned contemporary structure, on approximately 4 acres in a modern industrial park, with 100% on-site parking, delivery and shipping accommodations.  Two-stories of office and customer-service space, research, testing, engineering and product-development facilities, occupy 15,000-plus square feet.  Product assembly, customization, and high-ceiling computerized warehousing, make up the rest of the approximate 55,000 square feet.

“JESCO Lighting Group is one of the modern energy-conserving lighting industry’s biggest success stories,” remarks Richard Kurtz. He noted that the company was an early adopter of very low-energy LED (light-emitting diode) ambient/accent, decorative and outdoor special-effects lighting.  At JESCO, such LED lighting is available in families of lasting good-design recessed and semi-recessed ceiling lights, and suspended pendant lights; also in curvilinear suspended, aimable track lights, wall sconces, cabinet and display lighting, and outdoor fixtures for creating static or color-changing lighting with timed effects.

“Our company’s reputation is continually spreading as a leading, primary supplier of fully U.S. safety-certified, state-of-the-art luminaires and integral lighting systems, particularly for hospitality and retail design, offices of all kinds, and fine residences.  The company’s dynamic growth is what drove the need for new, larger space,” Mr. Kurtz said.  “The company already previously purchased its own west-coast warehouse and offices in Los Angeles, and has added a brand-new showroom to it, Mr. Kurtz said.  “The company also has a Florida regional warehouse and distribution facility; a network of overseas plants which feed our U.S. facilities; and offices in Hong Kong and Europe, so we in turn can satisfy customers’ varied requirements,” Richard Kurtz concluded.

Paulin Tham, vice president, marketing and operations, and a principal of JESCO Lighting Group, is spearheading designs for new offices at the company’s new building.  JESCO further plans to expand its human resources in engineering, marketing, design, product development and sales, as it continues to increase brand awareness in all existing and new markets for JESCO Lighting Group.
