JGA Chair Ken Nisch Writes Book About Retail’s Impact on the Environment

Ken Nisch, Chair of JGA, and Vilma Barr, Director of Barr Publications and Editorial Services, recently authored the book “Sustainability for Retail: How Retail Leaders Create Environmental, Social & Cultural Innovations,” which examines the role retailers play in the worldwide climate crisis.

Featuring a range of interviews with leading national and specialty retailers, this book focuses on what those execs and their companies are doing to establish and uphold practices in cutting energy use, and how they educate their consumers on the circular economy.

Readers will also learn more about the escalating “resale, reuse and remake” movement that works to extend the life cycle of products that may have previously ended up in a landfill. Nisch will be part of an interactive panel taking place at Shop! Ideation this Oct. 24, moderated by POPAI’s Martin Kingdon.
