K-Swiss to Pop Up in Santa Monica

K-Swiss Inc. (Westlake Village, Calif.), the athletic shoes and apparel manufacturer, will open its first U.S. store, a temporary shop on The Promenade in Santa Monica, Calif.

The branded “pop-up” store will open this Friday, March 14, 2008, and remain open through April 3. Then it will pop up again in New York.

The shop will offer the brand’s tennis, training, running, and lifestyle apparel and footwear for men and women, plus the new 2008 collections.

“This is the perfect opportunity to tout our premium sport heritage and showcase our new head to toe brand message in our own environment,” said Jennifer Weiderman, K-Swiss vp, marketing. “Santa Monica's bustling Promenade is the perfect spot to kick-off our initiative. It's a perfect combination of athleticism and fashion For a global brand like K-Swiss, this location speaks to our overall marketing position and hits our fast paced customer right where they shop.”

Consumer events will take place over the course of the store’s tenure, including in-store fashion shows, wardrobe consults, style tips and fitness demonstrations.

The location and timing of the New York store were not announced.
