Kohl’s Chief Merchant to Leave

Donald Brennan, chief merchandising officer of Kohl’s Corp. (Menomonee Falls, Wis.), will leave the retailer on April 1, 2014.

Brennan, a former senior vp at Miami-based Burdines Department Store, when it was a division of the former Federated Department Stores, joined Kohl’s in 2001. He has been chief merchant since 2007.

The announcement was part of Kohl’s regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Tuesday morning. The retailer gave no reason for the departure, but said it was looking for a replacement.
