Kohl’s Profits Dip

After cutting prices on its merchandise, Kohl’s Corp. (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) saw a 23.4 percent drop in first-quarter profits compared to last year, according to Women’s Wear Daily. This represents an actual drop of $47 million, and the company has increased inventory in an effort to spur fall sales.
