L’Occitane Launches New Concept

L’Occitane en Provence (Paris) has launched a new retail concept with digital gifting stations and a smart beauty fitting room in its New York flagship in the city's Flatiron District.

The smart beauty fitting room, at the back of the store, is made up of a table with four stations, reports Women’s Wear Daily. Each station is outfitted with a sink and a digital screen, and guests can request products to be brought to them.

“It’s technology without losing the human connection,” said Christina Polychroni, L’Occitane’s chief marketing officer.

The retailer says elements of the flagship’s new store concept will roll out in future store renovations, but will be adapted for size. While the flagship is 2000 square feet, the average L’Occitane location is only 500 to 600 square feet.
