La Brea Bakery Starts Off Year with New Space

La Brea Bakery will open a new retail store in the same Los Angeles neighborhood where it began baking fresh artisan bread nearly 25 years ago. The new location is scheduled to open at 460 S. La Brea Avenue on Jan. 4, 2013. The company’s original location will close its doors on December 31.

Originally opened by Nancy Silverton in 1989, La Brea Bakery is known throughout Southern California and the U.S. for making award-winning fresh baked loaves, rolls, baguettes and more.

The bakery, owned by Aryzta, a manufacturer and distributor of baked goods, also operates a casual dining restaurant in Anaheim, Calif.
