Le Caprice Closing Doors After Holidays

Pricey eatery Le Caprice is moving out of The Pierre Hotel New York after just two years. The restaurant, which is a sibling of Le Caprice in London, will remain open through the holidays, a spokeswoman for The Pierre Hotel told Crain’s New York.

“After an extensive search and through mutual agreement with The Pierre Hotel, Le Caprice will be moving to a new site that is currently being finalized,” a statement from the two companies said.

The Pierre Hotel, which is owned and operated by the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palace of India, underwent a $100 million renovation of the historic property in 2009. Le Caprice was part of that effort, with the hope that it would help make the hotel a destination again.
