Perry Ellis to Close 15 Stores

Perry Ellis International (Miami) announced it will close 15 stores, representing 20 percent of the company’s total locations.

The company cited a 5.5 percent decrease in net sales and a 4 percent decline in royalty income for the second quarter as the impetus for the decision.

The closures are expected to happen over the next 18 months as the company turns it focus to e-commerce and improving retail performance, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
