Lord & Taylor & Sarabeth’s

Lord & Taylor LLC (New York) has entered into an agreement with Sbk Preserves Inc. (Bronx, N.Y.) to convert all restaurants at its stores to Sarabeth's Kitchen restaurants. The first will open in the fall in the New York flagship.

Sarabeth’s is a small chain of trendy breakfast and lunch restaurants. There are currently four Sarabeth’s in New York and one in Key West, Fla.

“This partnership represents perfect synergy for our brand,” said Lord & Taylor president and ceo Jane Elfers. “The high quality product and upscale service Sarabeth's offers is a perfect complement to our commitment to enhancing Lord & Taylor's in-store services and amenities.”

“We are delighted to have been selected to be part of the Lord & Taylor family of brands,” said restaurant founder Sarabeth Levine, “and we will do our utmost to provide a great dining experience for the stores' customers.”

Levine began making orange-apricot marmalade from an old family recipe in 1980 and opened her first retail shop and bakery in 1981.
