Lowe’s Announces 14 New Canadian Locations

Lowe’s (Mooresville, N.C.) announced it will be opening 14 new locations in Canada, including 12 that will open in properties formerly owned by Target Corp. (Minneapolis). The other two stores will be opening in Ontario.

These new locations will bring Lowe’s a total of 54 stores in Canada.

Retailing Today reports that the acquisition of Target properties was part of a real estate auction after Target decided to close stores in Canada. The stores were sold to Lowe’s for $113 million.
