Lululemon Opening First U.S. Design Lab

Lululemon Athletica (Vancouver, British Columbia) unveiled plans to open its first U.S. design incubator, lab format store in Manhattan, N.Y., in March. This is the second location to operate using the format, with the first located in Vancouver, B.C.

Retailing Today reports the format of the store will be part retail space, part design center. Customers will be able to watch designers create clothing through all parts of the process.

Limited edition collections will also be available in the store that will not be available in other stores. These collections will be specifically designed for New York citizens’ needs.
