Macy’s Announces New Ceo

Macy’s (Cincinnati) has announced that company president Jeff Gennette will assume the ceo role beginning in the first quarter of 2017. Gennette will replace longtime Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren after a rocky year and a half that saw the retail giant lose half its share value, reports the Cincinnati Business Courier.

Gennette, who joined the company in 1983 as executive trainee at Macy's West in San Francisco, joins Macy's board of directors effective today.
