Macy’s Creates New Exec Positions

Macy’s (New York) has announced the creation of two new executive positions. Peter Sachse, the company’s current chief innovation and business development officer, will take on one of the new roles as chief growth officer. He will report to company President Jeff Gennette.

The other role, chief strategy, analytics, and innovation officer, will be filled by Justin MacFarlane, formerly senior vp for corporate strategy at Ann Inc.

Retailing Today reports the two new roles have been created to help better align the company’s aggressive growth into omnichannel business.
