Madonna will team with Macy’s Inc. (Cincinnati) for a one-night exhibit in Los Angeles this week of the gowns and outfits she has worn on stage, in videos and out in public during her 30-year career.

According to the Huffington Post, the mini-retrospective is intended to promote Material Girl, the clothing line the singer launched at Macy’s in 2010.

Outfits featured in the display, at Macy’s Century City location, will include a wedding dress Madonna wore during a “Like a Virgin” performance, corsets designed for her by Jean Paul Gaultier, a white gown Bob Mackie designed for her 1991 appearance at the Academy Awards and a purple Christian Lacroix bustier from her 2004 “Re-Invention” tour.

The pop-up event on Thursday, April 25, will last only two hours, from 6 to 8 p.m.
