Mango Adding Stores in Washington, D.C., and Boston

Spanish fashion retailer Mango (Barcelona) is adding seven stores in the U.S. – in Washington, D.C. and Boston. Those moves come on the heels of the chain’s expansion into New York, Florida, Texas, Georgia, California and Pennsylvania.

Daniel López, Mango’s Director of Expansion and Franchises, described Washington, D.C. and Boston as “two key markets on the East Coast” for the retailer.

“… We will continue executing on our plan to bring the brand experience physically to more U.S. consumers,” said López. “These openings are the first of several and we look forward to sharing more on our progress as the year goes on.”

Mango plans to open four stores across the Capitol Region, beginning with its store in the Westfield Montgomery, which opened earlier this month. Later this year, the company will open its doors at 950 F Street, in historic downtown Washington, D.C, in Tysons Corner Center, the largest mall in the area, and in Pentagon City.

As for Boston, the retailer plans three new stores, beginning with the recently opened outlet in the Natick Mall, and two additional stores in coming months at as-yet undisclosed locales in the region.

The added stores are part of an expansion plan in the United States that Mango began in 2022 after opening a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. The company’s goal is to reach 40 company-owned stores in the U.S. by the end of this year.
