How do you envision the physical store of the future?
I see physical stores as an escape. We’ve entered a period where virtual is reality and physically being somewhere has become a novelty. Physical stores must look and feel special to compete with virtual convenience.
What’s shaped you as a designer?
In a world where you can order an item at 9 a.m. and have it delivered by 12 p.m., I try very hard to create spaces where people feel comfortable and inspired. If they’ve taken the time to drive to a location, paid to park, and then hustle around a shopping center, they deserve a world-class experience once they arrive.
The best part of my day is…
…Having dinner with my partner.
