Men’s Wearhouse

The Men’s Wearhouse (Houston) reported a 14.6 percent increase in total sales for its second quarter ended July 30, 2005.

In the U.S., sales were up 14.9 percent and same-store sales gained 10.5 percent. In Canada, sales were up 12.8 percent and same-store sales gained 3.2 percent.

Year-to-date, total sales were up 14.4 percent — 14.5 percent in the U.S., 13.1 percent in Canada. U.S. same-store sales gained 10.7 percent; Canadian same-store sales were up 3.6 percent.

The company has closed all six of its Eddie Rodriguez stores.
