Just a week after its first-ever retail store opened in Scottsdale, Microsoft is taking the wraps off its second location. The Mission Viejo, Calif. store goes live today.
Like the Scottsdale flagship, California’s first Microsoft store will feature four design zones that encourage interactivity. Unsurprisingly, laptops are front and center. Shoppers can sit at large wooden tables and explore the latest offers. Oversized LCD screens double as art and merchandising tools as they flash up landscapes and product images. Consumers can also check out multi-media setups, browse accessories and software or indulge their Xbox cravings in the game zone with its 94-inch widescreen, ample seating and an array of controllers.
Company officials says customer feedback on both locations “will guide plans for the development of additional stores.”
