More Suits in the Boot

Brooks Brothers (New York) has announced the opening of a new flagship store in Florence, Italy. The new store is the clothing retailer's second location in Italy; the first opened in Milan in fall 2003.

The 3500-square-foot Florence store, in a historic 18th century building, is laid out as a series of rooms highlighting each collection of the brand. The interior features dark wood, brass, antiques and leather club chairs in a special seating area.

“We are delighted to have this unique opportunity to have a place on one of Europe's most premiere shopping districts,” said Claudio Del Vecchio, president and ceo of Retail Brand Alliance, Brooks Brothers' parent company. “The classic, elegant design of the store is in keeping with the Brooks Brothers image, and the perfect setting to showcase our collection of classic American clothing.”

Brooks Brothers currently operates stores in the U.S., Hong Kong, Italy, Japan and Taiwan.
