New Head Merchant at RadioShack

RadioShack Corp. (Fort Worth, Texas) has named Peter Whitsett executive vp, general merchandise manager.

Whitsett will be responsible for the development and implementation of all merchandising strategies, leading the merchandising, product development and allocation functions.

Whitsett most recently served as senior vp, chief merchant, for Kmart retail at Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.).
