New Rider at Polo?

A report in DNR earlier this week has Wayne Meichner, former Saks Fifth Avenue executive, taking over the retail division of Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (New York) as of Monday, Sept. 9, 2002. Neither Meichner, who is currently retired in Connecticut, nor Polo would confirm the report.

Meichner left Saks in May after a 23-year stint there. Roger Farah, currently Polo president and coo, was gmm of the men's division at Saks while Meichner was a buyer.

Bridget Ryan Berman is currently president and coo of the Polo Retail Group. She was appointed in June 2001; at the time, she was president of Polo Factory Store Concepts.
