New Roles at Jones Apparel

Jones Apparel Group Inc. (Bristol, Pa.) has named Heather Pech, who had been ceo of the Polo Jeans Co. that Jones Apparel recently sold to Polo Ralph Lauren Inc. (New York), as president of company-owned retail footwear and apparel. The company says she will focus on leveraging the company's infrastructure to grow the retail business.

The apparel and footwear company also announced that Andrew Cohen has been named to the newly created position of president – wholesale footwear and accessories, with responsibility for managing and further developing the company's brand portfolio of footwear, handbags and costume jewelry. Cohen was previously group president – l.e.i. and Energie; and Jack Gross has been named group ceo of all denim and junior businesses. He had previously been ceo of the company’s Gloria Vanderbilt division.
