Nike to Open Runners-only Store in New York

Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike Inc. is introducing a specialty retail concept called Nike Running at Fifth Avenue and West 20th Street, reports Crain’s Business New York.

The athletic footwear, apparel and equipment brand has leased 14,000 square feet at 156 Fifth Ave. to open the specialty running store, which will cater to runners by offering gear as well as extra services and promotions, such as running workshops and merchandise events.

Nike operates two such stores already, according to Crain’s.
