Nike Opens Five-Story SoHo Flagship

Nike (Beaverton, Ore.) is opening a five-story, 55,000-square-foot flagship store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. The store, which opens today, boasts a variety of interactive and personalized experiences for customers. The company is calling the store “‘a personal sport experience.’”

For instance, customers can try out merchandise in running, soccer and basketball trial spaces. It also features personalization services as well as in-person and digital experts to guide decision making.

Sports are separated by floors, such as having everything geared toward basketball on the fifth floor. The store will also debut the Nike+ SNKRS experience, which is a 54-foot wide wall of gender-neutral Nike footwear, making it the largest in any Nike store worldwide. It also includes the retailer’s largest in-season collection of Nike Air Force 1 shoes, reports a press release.
