MANAGEMENT CHANGES

St. Louis-based IdX Corp. has expanded its new Chicago Division team with the following appointments: Jeffery Jones, manager of design and engineering, and Ashley Mueller, project manager. The company also relocated its office to West Huron Street in the city's River North neighborhood.

Alfred Felder has been named ceo of lighting developer and manufacturer Tridonic. He succeeds Walter Ziegler, who left the company in January. Felder’s career includes management roles in the areas of OLED and LED technology with Osram, where he most recently was responsible for Osram’s worldwide general lighting sales activities. Tridonic is a subsidiary of The Zumtobel Group, which is based in Dornbirn, Austria.

STORE OPENING

Noodles & Company opened its 300th system-wide restaurant, in Waterloo, Iowa. “We’re thrilled about this achievement and the opening of our 300th restaurant,” says Kevin Reddy, ceo and chairman of Noodles & Company. The milestone marks the chain’s seventh restaurant in Iowa and its 15th to open in 2012. More than 25 additional restaurants are expected to open by the end of the year.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

JPMA Global Inc. (Montreal) was selected to be featured on the TV Show “The World’s Greatest,” appearing on the ION Network. The JPMA segment will appear three times starting July 23 and will highlight JPMA ‘s Manufacturing Capabilities.

LED fixture manufacturer Albeo Technologies (Boulder, Colo.) expanded its manufacturing space by 15,000 square feet and increased its staff by 30 percent. Albeo’s expansion includes a new assembly line to increase production of its H-Series high bay fixture, as well as new work flow areas.

West Caldwell, N.J.-based MaxLite, a global manufacturer and marketer of MaxLED luminaires and lamps, has established its first-ever U.S. assembly line and expanded its work force and capabilities, meeting the requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Marlite has acquired Global Design Solutions (GDS), a design and branding firm specializing in the cosmetics, clothing and footwear, jewelry and duty-free sectors. Founder Martha Reyes will report to Marlite’s Tom Gibbons and work in the company’s Miami facility.

Solatube Intl. Inc. (Vista, Ca.), a manufacturer of tubular daylighting devices, announced the call to entry for the 2012 Solatube ICE Awards for Inspired and Creative Excellence in the use of Solatube products in daylighting design. Projects may be entered at http://solatubeiceawards.com. The deadline for entries is Sept. 1, 2012.
