Nordstrom Inc. (Seattle) has reported a 6.7 percent increase in preliminary sales for the five-week period ending April 2, 2005. Same-store sales increased 5.5 percent.

Preliminary quarter-to-date sales are up 7.6 percent. Quarter-to-date same-store sales have increased 6.3 percent.
