Nordstrom Cuts More IT Staff

Nordstrom (Seattle) has laid off 120 employees in its Information Technology (IT) department. This cut follows the layoffs of 10 IT employees earlier this month.

Retailing Today reports the cuts have been attributed to corporate restructuring with some roles being eliminated and others combined. The company is also leveling-off IT spending at 2015’s budget, and will cap at $300 million for fiscal 2016.

Nordstrom announced that it will focus on fewer, but more meaningful IT projects in the coming year.
