Nordstrom Expanding Rack Concept

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack at Northgate Mall in Seattle. The approximately 41,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open this fall. Nordstrom also operates a full-line store at Northgate, where it first opened as a shoe store in 1950 before expanding to a full-line store in 1965.

Another location for the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc. will debut at The Fountains at Farah, in El Paso, Texas, in fall 2013. The store will be approximately 35,000 square feet.

Nordstrom operates 231 stores in 31 states, including 117 full-line stores, 110 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques, one treasure&bond store and one clearance store.
