Nordstrom Plans to Relocate Washington Rack

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. plans to relocate its Spokane, Wash., Rack store from Northtown Mall to Spokane Valley Plaza in Spokane City. The 30,000-square-foot Rack store is scheduled to open in October and will join other retailers, including TJ Maxx, Old Navy and Wholesale Sports Outdoor Outfitters at Spokane Valley Plaza, which is operated by General Growth Properties.

“We've been doing business in Spokane for 36 years,” says Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. “Our commitment to our Spokane customer hasn't changed – we're only changing locations so we can improve our merchandise offering as well as reach more customers.”

Nordstrom Inc. operates 114 full-line stores, 76 Nordstrom Racks, two Jeffrey boutiques and one clearance store.
