Nordstrom Rack Adds Location in San Diego

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in San Diego next fall. The 39,000-square-foot store will be located at Carmel Mountain Plaza, which is owned and managed by American Assets Trust Inc.

The new off-price retail location will join anchor tenants Barnes & Noble, Marshalls, Michaels, Ross and Sprouts. The center also features a movie theatre and several restaurants.

In addition to four Nordstrom Rack stores, the retailer operates four full-line stores in the area. “San Diego has been our home for over 30 years,” says Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack.
