Nordstrom Rack Continues Expansion

Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. has announced plans to open its first Nordstrom Rack in Annapolis, Md. at Annapolis Harbour Center. The 32,230 square-foot store is expected to open in spring 2011.

The off-price retail division of Nordstrom will also open the doors to a 36,500 square-foot Rack at the Westfield West Covina mall in West Covina, Calif., in fall 2011.

Rack stores carry merchandise from Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com at 50 to 60 percent off original Nordstrom prices.

Nordstrom operates seven Racks in the greater Baltimore-Washington area, as well as seven full-line Nordstrom stores. In greater Los Angeles/Orange County, the retailer has 17 Nordstrom stores and 12 Racks, with plans for four new Racks and one full-line Nordstrom store in the area by the end of 2011.
