Toys ‘R’ Us (Wayne, N.J.) announced that Claire Babrowski will assume the newly created role of evp, chief operating officer.

Babrowski most recently served as acting ceo, president and chief operating officer of RadioShack. Prior to that, she had a 30-year career at McDonald’s.

In her new role, Babrowski will lead the toy retailer's worldwide logistics and information technology functions. She will also oversee all of the company’s global franchise operations and be responsible for growing its operations and equity positions in the Pacific arena.
