(Not So) Vicious Circle

More than 70 retailers, designers and visual merchandisers gathered at New York’s famed Algonquin Hotel for a festive networking event this past December, sponsored by VMSD.

A nod to the legendary post-WWI literary gatherings led by writer and wit Dorothy Parker, the first official Algonquin visual merchandising roundtable was convened three years ago, with 17 industry notables in attendance. What began as coffee and casual conversation about art, design and visual merchandising among VMSD’s Eric Feigenbaum, Marjorie Woo (both of LIM College) and consultant Tom Beebe has grown to a coveted invitation-only event that takes place three times per year.
