Paris Shopping in New Manhattan Hotel

A new New York hotel from Ian Schrager will have two new wrinkles not present in his existing hotel empire (which includes New York's Paramount and Allerton, Miami Beach's Delano and Los Angeles'Mondrian): cut-rate room rates and retail shopping.

Rooms at The Hudson, the new hotel that will open in the fall on the West Side of Manhattan, can be had for $95 a night. And Schrager has signed a deal with the owners of Colette, the successful Paris high-end apparel boutique. However, the yet-to-be-named shop will feature design products only – no clothing.
