Parlez-vous Nordstrom?

Nordstrom Inc. (Seattle) announced plans for its progeny,Facconable (Nice, France), to debut a new Parisian boutique. The3400-square-foot store, scheduled to open on the popular Rue Marbeufthis fall, will feature men's apparel and accessories.

Pierre Guerrin, president and ceo of Facconable, says theexpansion is part of a brand-awareness strategy in European markets.”Facconable already enjoys a reputation among Parisians forsophisticated styling and impeccable quality,” Guerrin stated, “andwe're excited to build on that following by bringing the brand tosuch an important shopping destination.”

Known for its distinctly French men's and women's apparel,Facconable operates more than 20 boutiques internationally. Nordstromowns 115 other stores nationwide.
