Patagonia Explores Chicago Trails

Lost Arrow Corp. (Ventura, Calif.) has reportedly chosen Chicago as the site of its first Patagonia store in the Midwest.

Crain's Chicago Business reports that the company, which sells outdoor gear and apparel under the Patagonia brand name, has been looking for 5000-6000-square-foot spaces on Michigan Avenue and Oak Street, State and Rush streets and in the River North and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

The company sells its products through specialty retailers (plus a catalog and web site), and has 19 stores in the U.S. — mainly on the East and West coasts — plus another 10 or so in Australia, Europe and Japan.
