PAVE Announces 2006 Student Competition

The Planning and Visual Education partnership (PAVE) has announced it will hold its 12th annual Student Design Competition in 2006. The competition is geared toward two- and four-year college-level students who are involved in retail planning, merchandising, and branding programs.

Deadline for entries is Nov. 10, 2006. Judging will take place on November 16 at Target Corp. headquarters in Minneapolis. Target is the first retailer to sponsor the competition. Executives from Target have developed the design challenges in partnership with PAVE education chair Eric Feigenbaum of LIM (Laboratory Institute of Management) and a member of the VM+SD Editorial Advisory Board, and Judy Bell of Target, the PAVE curriculum chair.

Prizes include cash awards. Full information on the design challenges and entry forms are available online at www.p-a-v-e.info.
