The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) has awarded Barbara Iglesias from Florida International University as the 2019 Bergmeyer Scholarship recipient. This scholarship recognizes and supports leadership potential in the Interior Design and Architecture field through a $2,500 award.
“In collaboration with PAVE, Bergmeyer would like to congratulate Barbara Iglesias from Florida International University as the recipient of the 2019 Bergmeyer Scholarship. We extend our appreciation to all of the talented design students from colleges and universities across the United States and Canada who submitted applications for the fourth annual Bergmeyer Scholarship with PAVE. Among the diverse field of skilled candidates, Bergmeyer would like to recognize Barbara in particular for her creative and thoughtful approach to the design of branded environments.”- said Rachel Zsembery, Vice President at Bergmeyer.
The PAVE Scholarship Program, now in its tenth year, provides financial assistance to students in educational programs preparing them for careers in the retail environments industry, including but not limited to careers in retail design and planning, and visual merchandising industries. PAVE was developed to help ensure a future talent pool for the industry by eliminating barriers to studying in these fields. The funds assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties that may prevent them from continuing school. PAVE has awarded over $200,000 in financial grants over the past ten years to students.
