The 10th annual PAVE fundraising gala, held Dec.5, 2006, at The Essex House in New York during StoreXpo, raised a record-breaking $100,000. The proceeds, used to support retail design educational programs, made this event the most successful in the organization’s history.
According to the Planning and Visual Education Committee, “the gala event drew a crowd of over 300 influential retailers, designers and industry suppliers from companies including Federated Department Stores, the Neiman Marcus Group, Target, Bloomingdale’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy’s, Ann Taylor, Bank of America, Harley-Davidson, FRCH Design Worldwide, Chute Gerdeman, RYA Design Consultancy, Gensler, Callison and many others. Fifteen seats donated by industry companies allowed students to attend and benefit from the event.”
Flagship sponsor of the event was SEVEN CONTINENTS (Toronto). Federated, the awards sponsor, presented an emotional tribute to Rudy Javoski, who passed away this summer.
