Pets at Home Names New Retail COO

Pets at Home (Handforth, England) has announced Anja Madsen as its new COO for retail, according to Retail Gazette.

Madsen previously held senior positions at Sainsbury’s and Tesco, as well as Johnson & Johnson’s Middle East and Europe marketing leader. In her new role effective this April, Madsen will oversee the British retailer’s 450 stores alongside logistics, operations, commercial and supply chain.

The company’s former COO, Lisa Miao, is retiring.

“As a specialist retailer with such passionate and purpose-led colleagues, Pets at Home is a business I have admired from afar and I am delighted to have the opportunity to join the executive team at such an exciting time,” Madsen says.
