Philosophy Debuts Concept

Beauty retailer Philosophy (Phoenix, Ariz.) has opened The Wellbeing Workshop, a retail concept and flagship store.

In addition to offering the brand’s line of products, the 1096-square-foot store in New Jersey will also offer in-store meditation workshops and skin consultations, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

“In beauty, [retail] is a great opportunity [for a brand] to express themselves, but it’s also a place where they can create a unique experience for the consumer, because at the end of the day, especially for younger consumer, the experience is paramount — even more important for them than product. They want to live through a unique experience with a brand they choose,” said Marie-Pierre Stark-Flora, global senior vp.

Philosophy has a standalone store in Arizona and has plans to open the next Wellbeing Workshop in New York.
