Pier 1 Announces Two New Hawaii Stores

Pier 1 Imports (Ft. Worth, Texas) plans to open its sixth and seventh stores in Hawaii this month, including its first on Kauai and in the West Oahu area, reported Pacific Business News.

The 8470-square-foot Lihue store on the Garden Isle at Kukui Grove Center will employ about 25 people and open on May 16.

The West Oahu store, which will open May 23 at Kapolei Commons, will encompass 7154 square feet and employ about 30 people.

According to PBN, both the Lihue and Kapolei stores will feature Pier 1 Imports’ new store concept, which includes energy efficient measures. The concept was first featured in Hawaii at its Kailua-Kona on the Big Island store.
