Planning Big Lots

Big Lots Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) has named Lisa Bachmann as senior vp, information technology/merchandise planning and allocation. She will report to the retailer’s chairman, president and ceo Steve Fishman.

Bachmann joined Big Lots in 2002 as senior vp of merchandise planning and allocation, and has been responsible for merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment for more than 1500 retail stores. In her expanded role, Bachmann will also oversee mission-critical information technology for all areas of the company, including supply chain management, merchandise planning, allocation, distribution, store operations, finance, human resources, and business processes.

Prior to joining Big Lots three years ago, Bachmann was senior vp, planning and allocation, for the now-bankrupt Ames Department Stores. She also served as vp, planning and allocation, for the Casual Corner Group, overseeing Casual Corner, August Max and Petite Sophisticate Brands.
